Imagine: Your Dream Horse
2001 filly by Ideal – “Imagine” - talented,
sweet tempered, very solid under saddle, not spooky at all. She is 16.2+H,
and registered with Oldenburg Registry NA. Under saddle since August 1,
2004 under professional trainer, she shows outstanding rideability, great
rhythm, quickness to learn, big strided walk and canter, and a solid
elastic trot.
Her mother is a 16’2H thoroughbred of whom
Hilltop Farm recently said: “LOVELY mare! Wonderful trot, good walk,
uphill frame, good hind legs and better than average freedom of movement
for a thoroughbred.” She has since given us a wonderful colt by Camiros
and is being bred to Contucci this year.
As a 2 year old, Imagine was shown inhand at the
INDA Cosequin qualifier and was a show stopper with a score of 78%; she
raked the ribbons as High Point Oldenburg, first of her 2 yo class, and
Reserve of the Championship for weanlings to 3 yos. She behaved like a
pro. She also participated in an inhand clinic given by Hilltop farm. She
is lifetime registered with USDF. Imy is truly beautiful, well balanced,
and easy to handle, which makes her suitable for an ambitious amateur, but
she also has very powerful movement and a great presence which makes her a
great horse for a professional. She was raised by Sunset View Ranch where
we lovingly care for our horses. I will be sad to see her go but look
forward to finding the right home which will bring Imy to her full
potential.

To Emily Briggs, Black Cat Farm, Palouse, WA Congratulations!
Emily.
Introducing Ikaika Filly of Three Star
Mare
More Views
Scores 8.0 (Type) 8.2 (Movement) 8.0 (Overall) 8.1 Total
This is IKAIKA IDEAL Filly out of our
matriarch, the 16.2 hand, dark bay three Star Premium rated mare,
Lotta Currency XX. Ika was born April 1, 2001. (September 2002.)
Ikaika is an elegant filly with lovely expression. She is the modern
type without compromising substance and bone. The name chosen is the
Hawaiian word for 'bold' and besides being beautiful, she is also strong
and bold.
$145.21 has a natural ability to load and engage from behind even in
play.
Ikaika's conformation is without flaw. Her hip and shoulder angles
are desirable for upper level dressage.
Ikaika’s full brothers Euro Pro Iko and Interflocken , are dressage
performance horses. Iko is owned and ridden by U.S.E.T. dressage team member and
A.H.S.A. Judge,
Sandy Howard. In the USDF 2004 awards, Sandy and Euro Pro Iko were 1st at
Int. I-1 All Breeds Awards for the Oldenburg N.A. and 3rd in USDF HOY
Vintage Cup. Interflocken was purchased by Marci Armstrong of
Alberta, Canada who travels to California to train with Sandy Howard who
introduced 'Flocken' to her.
The mare, known around
here as Rotterdam, was
awarded Three Stars from the ISR/Oldenburg N.A. for her individual premium quality and her ability to produce
premium foals as well as her ability to produce open competition horses
and premium mares. Lotta
Currency has the perfect type for sport horse breeding, she is tall and
has a large rectangular frame, well-muscled hindquarters and good bore. Her face shows presence and quality and her dark liquid eyes
speak of her willing sensible nature.
She has produced seven premium foals and one 7.5 foal by Ideal, all
of which demonstrate form earlier on and a rare balance in motivated and
expressive movement. They
have freedom and regularity in rhythm, swing and rotation over the top
lines and desirable suspension, but most importantly, they are exceptional
in their ability to come underneath themselves and load and engage the
hind end, which translates to collection.
We believe that the very reason the Ideal x Lotta Currency
offspring are selected by F.E.I. dressage riders is that they have
experience in what it takes to make a Grand Prix horse.
What good is a flashy front end unless the horse can “sit” and
collect?
Buying IKAIKA
should get as close as you can get to a guarantee that you will have a
highly desirable dressage mover with three outstanding gaits. One thing we
can testify to right now is that she is a kissable as any foal in the
barn. A video of Ikaika and her siblings is available on request.
Ikaika was sold to Masin family of
Incline Village, Nevada. Congratulations!
